When you hear of companies beginning from the ground up, you wouldn't think that the business owner would be dealing with the scrap hands on.

 

Eight years ago, in 2007, I started with nothing, no capital, no workers, only a small Dutsan bakkie and a partner. Some days would start at 3 am in the morning, consisting of sorting, collecting and cleaning plastic drums; botlles; etc.

 

We were eventually able to employ 8 workers to do the hands on work. Our business was growing. 

I became so familiar with all the items that could be recycled, that I decided to put my knowledge to the ultimate test:

 

Start afresh, run the business on my own.

 

Today, I source all types of recyclable materials. My knoweldge of this industry is constantly growing and face new opportunites with open arms.
